A Week’s Worth of Workwear

June 20, 2021

Hi friends! After 15 months of working from home full-time due to Covid, I was finally able to go back into the office at the beginning of this month. While working from home does have it’s advantages, I still really like being able to go into a physical office every day. There is definitely something to be said for having the separation between work and home, because “living at work” ain’t no joke. For now, I’ll go into the office a couple of days a week and work from home the rest of the time, and I think that hybrid approach will be the best of both worlds. The most promising thing is that it feels like there is some normalcy returning again, and that gives me a lot of hope!

Now that a lot of us are starting to return to the office (and there are lots of you that never left the office!), I thought it was time to get back into sharing workwear! I recently put together five summer workwear looks that are great for every setting, whether you’re a teacher or a corporate gal. Everything is linked below, and pretty much everything is on sale.

(Sizing Notes: I am wearing a 0 or XS in all pieces and would say almost everything runs true to size unless noted under the photo!)

I have always loved pairing a blazer with denim for a business casual look that still looks very smart. This blazer is on major sale, and I paired it with a sweet scalloped striped cami that is also on sale for only $16. I have several of these camis and they are great for layering like this, but also wearing alone with shorts or jeans for a night out. I’m wearing a 27P in these white jeans. I like to size up in white jeans to avoid the lumps and bumps being super visible!

Yellow Top | Chambray Skirt | Heels

I ended up loving this outfit way more than I thought I would! The top is very soft and stretchy, and has a sweet little Swiss dot detail. It pairs so well with this chambray skirt, which has an elastic waist and pockets – always a plus!

Top | Skirt | Heels

This skirt is labeled as a “mini” skirt, but as you can see here, it is definitely not a mini and is a perfect length for work (I am 5’3″ for reference). I paired it with this teal top that has the cutest eyelet details and ruffle sleeves. I also paired the shirt with a pair of white jeans for work earlier this week – I’m always on the hunt for versatile pieces! Note that the skirt runs big – I would suggest sizing down a full size.

Blazer | Pants | Cami | Belt

This outfit is sure to make you feel like a BOSS! The blazer and matching pants are a linen cotton blend, so a nice material for summer but it has a decent amount of weight and is not as wrinkly. I could also see this blazer layered over a white sheath dress, or paired with jeans and loafers, similar to how I styled the orange one above. These are definitely pieces that are interchangeable and can be styled so many ways.

Top | Pants | Shoes

These floral pants are SO fun and would go with so many different tops. The pants have an elastic waist and pockets – I love the pull on style…they are very comfy! The fit of this blouse is quite generous – you may want to size down, especially if between sizes.

Hope these looks gave you a bit of inspiration as you go into the office. Have a wonderful week, and thanks for stopping by!
