Friday Five

Happy Friday and hello weekend!  Unfortunately I am feeling a bit under the weather, but I’m hoping to kick the crud quickly so I can enjoy the weekend as much as possible.

I have not shared a Friday Five with y’all in a while, so I thought it was time I do so! Below are five things that are currently on my mind!

The NFL Playoffs

So you should know by now that I am a HUGE fan of the New England Patriots. This Sunday they play the LA Chargers in the playoffs and the winner of this game will advance to the AFC Championship. I am SUPER excited (also nervous) about game day! Another fun fact about this game is that one of my best friends is a die-hard Chargers fan, so our boys will be going to head to head. I do like and respect Phillip Rivers, and would be thrilled to see him win a Super Bowl, so not to jinx my boys, but if they do happen to lose on Sunday, I will be pulling for the Chargers the rest of the way. I love playoff season!

FWTFL

The first Faster Way to Fat Loss round of 2019 is underway and it feels SO GOOD to be back on track with my nutrition and workouts. Like everyone else, I indulged a little too much over the holidays and just let my health and fitness take a backseat, but I dove back in hard at the start of the new year to get myself back on track. If you missed out on the first round but are interested in joining, a brand new round kicks off this Monday, January 14th, and it’s not too late to sign up! Next week is the start of “prep” week, so it does not officially start until the following Monday. The Perfect Nude Lip

I recently purchased this nude lipstick in the “whisper” shade and love it! It comes in the tin shown above, and the lid has a mirror. It also includes a sharpener which is handy. It is the perfect nude and it is more moisturizing than I thought it would be. It can totally be worn on its own, but lately, I have been layering this NYX gloss in shade “Chic Appeal” on top for a glossier look…I just love these NYX glosses and you cannot beat the price!

Shiny Leggings

Y’all, these leggings are on sale for only $29! I have the grey and I love them! The sizing on the grey is limited, but this rust color is available in all sizes! Cute workout clothes always make working out a little more fun…at least that’s my logic!

Being a Positive Influence

Y’all know I love a good inspirational video. My co-worker and friend, Mel, shared this with me at the start of the year. It was my first time seeing it and I was moved to tears (I am a softie). We are all leaders in some shape or form – whether we are parents, managers, mentors, business owners, etc. I know first hand how easy it is to become discouraged, worried, or defeated, but we need to remember there is always someone looking at us for leadership, direction and guidance. Remember, you have more influence than you realize, and it’s worthwhile to so many to use that influence to spread positivity. In a world like we live in today, positivity is something we could all use a little more of, don’t you think?
