Friday Five

Hello, hello!  And Happy Friday!  October is flying by, just like I knew it would.  We celebrated my husband’s birthday yesterday, and my 20-year high school reunion is Saturday night!  Then I leave on Sunday for two back to back work-related trips…which means I probably will not have any new content on the blog next week, so I apologize in advance!  I’m ready for things to slow down a little bit, including the clock!

Moving on now to this week’s Friday Five…

Velvet Cami

I shared a copper colored satin cami on my Instagram recently that sold out super quickly.  This is the exact same style, but in VELVET!  I am seeing tons of velvet right now, so this is definitely on-trend for the fall and winter season.  It would look great under a cardigan or blazer – it comes in four colors and it’s only $15!

Target Lamp

I saw this lamp last weekend and it took A LOT of self control not to buy it.  I use blue a lot in the decor throughout my home, and can think of at least three places where I could use this, but I walked away from it (for now, lol).  If you are in need of an interesting, budget-friendly lamp, this is a good one!

Dirty John Podcast

Last week I talked about the Dr. Death podcast – this week’s favorite is Dirty John!  I listened to all six episodes pretty quickly, and I actually liked this one more than Dr. Death.  The last episode was a shocker!  I also heard Bravo is making this into a mini-series that will star Connie Britton (love her!) and it will air in November – I will definitely be watching!

Things I Bought & Liked Instagram (@things.i.bought.and.liked)

This is an Instagram account that you should be following if you aren’t already.  This girl shares reviews on all sorts of products that she buys – her account is simple, straightforward, and her captions are usually hilarious.  I’ve bought some of the things she has recommended (including the makeup brush cleaner I mentioned last week) and have been impressed!

Prince Harry & Megan Markle

Kinda obsessed with these two – I mean, who isn’t?  They are so cute, and as of this week it’s finally official – there’s a bun in the oven!  I know there’s been speculation about a pregnancy for a while now, so I am glad it is finally confirmed!  In light of the big new, I couldn’t let this week go by without giving them a shout-out.  Can’t wait to see her pregnancy style!
