Friday Five
Hi everyone! And TGIF! I hope you all have had a great week. I thought it would be fun to start a new series on my blog called the “Friday Five” – I plan to share five things that could range from current obsessions, great finds or deals, or maybe just what might be on my mind at the moment. So, let’s dive in with today’s five!
#1 – Dr. Death Podcast
Loverly Grey talked about this podcast on her Instagram story recently, so I started listening to it about a week ago, and OMG! It’s wild. And it is also kind of infuriating. It’s only six short episodes, so you can get through it quickly.
#2 – Slides
I have been on the lookout for camel-colored slides all season but have not wanted to pay a hefty price for them. I came across these this week – they’re on sale for 40% off, plus an additional 10% off with code “EXTRA”, making them $40. They may or may not be on their way to my house.
#3 – Makeup Brush Cleaner
If you watch my Instagram stories, you saw me talk about this makeup brush cleaner the other night. I am not very good about cleaning my brushes regularly for a couple of reasons – they do not come clean easily, and it takes 24 hours for them to dry. This stuff is a game changer! I poured a little into a small bowl, and followed the instructions on the bottle. The bristles absorb the solution right up, and then you just wipe the brushes out on a towel until they are clean. They dry very quickly, too, which is a major plus!
#4 – A Star is Born Soundtrack
I downloaded a couple of the songs from this soundtrack and holy moly! Lady Gaga was already an idol in my book, but she has outdone herself on these songs…and who knew Bradley Cooper had that voice!? I am DYING to go see this movie. The two songs I basically have on repeat are “Always Remember Us This Way” and “Shallow”.
#5 – NYX Butter Gloss
I have been collecting several shades of this lip gloss for the past several months and I really do like it. I recently picked up the “Praline” shade and it is the perfect color for fall and winter! Best part – it’s under $5! You do have to reapply throughout the day, but you can’t really beat it for the price. I usually find it at Target or Ulta.
